Review of Adult Social Care Complaints 2022-23

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has published their Review of Adult Social Care Complaints 2022-23.

The report calls for leaders to; “rigorously scrutinise those services provided to people who might otherwise be hidden in society to ensure they are performing well for those who may be unable to speak up for themselves.”

I encourage providers and councils to focus on getting the basics right; quality and safety can never be compromised and our investigations will always hold organisations to account against relevant legislation and guidance, as well as local policies and procedures.

Paul Najsarek, Interim Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman, September 2023
