We organise and produce over 250 conferences and exhibitions a year. In 2020 we have developed our offering to include virtual online conferences and training. From something as basic as typing up evaluation forms, to full event management, marketing and programme development support we have worked in partnership with organisations such as Health Education England, The British Association of Day Surgery, and the NHS Practitioner Health Service to deliver high quality event management. Clare and her HC-UK team have provided us with a fantastic one day Virtual Inaugural Scientific Conference for the Faculty of Clinical Informatics UK in October 2020 against all the odds. We started planning a conventional Conference in September 2019 scheduled for May 2020. Because of COVID-19 we converted it completely to a Virtual Conference with a Main Auditorium for the plenary sessions, two separate Lecture Theatres for the Instructional Courses plus a Ready Room for the preparation of the speakers and multiple Exhibitors rooms. Despite only a 2 week setting up period the whole Conference worked superbly with all attendees and exhibitors happy. Although we missed out on the personal contact element the Conference was still a huge success, with all sessions now recorded for posterity.
