Event Management

Can we help your organisation or association plan a conference or exhibition?

Healthcare Conferences UK (and it's sister companies; Social Care Conferences UK and Education Conferences UK) are experts in writing, planning and marketing health, social care and education conferences.

In 2022 we were finalists of the Conference & Events Awards and AEO Excellence Awards. We were pleased to be winners of the Business of the Year award at the 2021 SME National Business Awards, along with our MD Clare Gallagher winning Business Woman of the Year. We were also finalists for the 2020 ABPCO Excellence Award for Best In House Conference, and in December 2019 we were delighted to win the 2019 ABPCO Excellence award for Best Agency Conference Organise. Read more about our awards here

We organise and produce over 250 conferences and exhibitions a year.  In 2020 we developed our offering to include virtual online conferences and training. All our events support knowledge sharing, professional development and take a practical approach to learning through case study based best practice. Feedback from previous Event Management clients:

“Clare, Stephanie and her team are efficient and extremely knowledgeable in running quality, educational healthcare events. Throughout the process, from our initial meetings, to the event itself, and post event work, feedback, evaluation and de-brief, they made a highly complex process very straightforward. Our first South West Multi-Professional Hybrid Educational Conference was a real success, re-connecting our educators across various settings, coming together to share practice and learn from others for a better tomorrow in healthcare practice and education. The team understood the challenges faced and helped co-design and support our event. I cannot recommend HC-UK enough to organisations with an event idea in mind, and we at HEE-SW will continue to partner with them to deliver future events.”

Dr Jane Thurlow MBChB FRCA, Associate Dean, Professional Education & Development SW Lead Health Education England South West

"Thank you so much for your faultless organisation, efficiency and coordination of this hybrid event. We really appreciate how you have worked with us at every stage from planning, sifting abstracts, liaison with presenters and speakers, overseeing venue and online access and dealing with every request or query in such a calm and responsive way. Your staff are fabulous and unflappable, your experience and knowledge in managing events such as these is second to none and we are really grateful for your guidance in steering us through to what one delegate described as "the best conference they had attended in their entire career". Thank you and look forward to our next event working together!"

Lucy Warner, Chief Operating Officer, NHS Practitioner Health

"HCUK immediately understood that AMaT is more than a system – it’s a community. They knew exactly how to help us deliver a major annual conference built around the needs of that community. Their contacts within healthcare, their attention to detail, and their consideration of our long-term goals, enabled AMaT to run a high quality, in-person national event which has been a great success year-on-year. From planning to follow-up, the team have been invaluable."

Dom Conlon AMaT - Audit Management and Tracking

"Clare and her team are highly efficient and extremely knowledgeable in running quality, educational healthcare events. Throughout the process, they made an highly complex process seem straightforward. The first National assistant practitioners’ conference was a tremendous success due to the interesting programme and speaker lineup all organised by HC-UK. Following our initial meeting, the team understood the challenges faced by the staff group and designed an event that would address them, thereby motivating attendees in the job role. I cannot recommend HC-UK enough to organisations with an event idea in mind and we at the assistant practitioners community will continue to partner with them to deliver our yearly events."

Francene Mullings, Community Manager, The Assistant Practitioners UK

"For 2 years Clare and her HC-UK team have provided us with fantastic one day Virtual Scientific Conferences for the UK Faculty of Clinical Informatics both in October 2020 and July 2021. We launched our first Virtual Conference with a Main Auditorium for the plenary sessions, two separate Lecture Theatres for the Instructional Courses plus a Ready Room for the preparation of the speakers and multiple Exhibitors rooms. Our second Conference included a Main Auditorium and 6 breakout rooms for Instructional Courses, Focused Topics, Industry Exhibitions and informal meetings and they all worked. We cannot be too complimentary about the support with which we were provided – what a great team."

Prof W Angus Wallace Chair, Conference Planning Committee, UK Faculty of Clinical Informatics (2019-23)

“When SWC Expert Group was planning its first international conference, Healthcare Conferences UK was the natural choice to organise and manage it. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped ensure the event was a tremendous success. We are already talking to them about organising and managing next year’s conference.”

Eric Baskind, Chair, Safety Without Compromise Expert Group

"I can’t praise Healthcare Conferences UK enough for the organisation of our International Physician Health Summit 2018. The HCUK team were all friendly, calm, knowledgeable and efficient from programme development and venue booking through to onsite management. Experienced, dedicated and professional staff were accommodating throughout seeing to all our requests. Their marketing activities resulted in a fully booked conference with over 350 high quality target delegates. The event ran extremely smoothly over two days, with multiple breakout streams and high profile speakers. I highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again in future.”

Dr Clare Gerada MBE, Medical Director PHP, National Medical Director GPH, and past Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners

"The British Association of Day Surgery (BADS) has been working with HCUK for a number of years in the running of meetings about promoting day surgery practice. The team at HCUK have always provided invaluable support from initial meeting discussion and planning through to successful execution on the day. Their advice for transitioning to virtual meetings as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a seemless transition for BADS to disseminate information about day surgery practice, without losing delegate attendence."

Miss Jo Marsden, President, The British Association of Day Surgery

“I would recommend the team at healthcare conferences without hesitation. They are responsive, efficient, unfailingly professional and always a delight to work with. If you want the organisation of your event to be a success - look no further.”

Jeremy Clarke CBE, Chair, New Savoy Partnership

“Clare and her team at HCUK are our partners for the National PROMs Summit which is now in it’s seventh year. The event organisation has always been superb, but that is expected. What I find exceptional is how they assume ownership of any problem that arises and their knowledge about the sector. We benefit from unexpected skills that are exceptional with product design and marketing. Recommending people is easy, but all I will say is that I hope they will continue to work with us...”

Mr Bibhas Roy Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (Shoulder and Elbow), HICAT Member and PROMs Lead NHS North West

“Thank you for all of the work on the 3M UK IV leadership Summit. The organisation and support was first class.”
