Artificial intelligence is no longer confined to specialist technical teams. Increasingly, it is being used as a practical, day-to-day tool to support productivity, decision-making, and service improvement across organisations, with NHS England rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot across the Trusts by October 2026.
This AI Essentials CPD Masterclass has been designed to support clinicians and managers to use AI confidently and responsibly in their everyday roles. The half-day session demystifies AI and focuses on practical application within healthcare and organisational contexts. Through live demonstrations and hands-on examples, participants will explore how to communicate effectively with AI tools, select appropriate platforms for different tasks, and streamline routine activities such as documentation, reporting, correspondence, and service planning.
By the end of the masterclass, delegates will move beyond a conceptual understanding of AI to practical, real-world use. The course emphasises safe, ethical, and effective application, helping attendees to save time, improve quality, and enhance the way they work. The focus is firmly on techniques that can be applied immediately in practice, rather than technical theory. The focus will be on Copilot for secure workflows but will also look at other tools for creativity, research and ideation.

This masterclass is suitable for clinicians, managers, and professionals working across NHS and wider health and social care organisations who are looking to improve productivity, reduce administrative burden, and build future-ready digital skills. No technical or programming experience is required. The course will be particularly valuable for those working in operational management, clinical leadership, administration, quality improvement, communications, workforce, finance, project management, and service transformation roles, as well as anyone with responsibility for leading teams or improving ways of working.
