This conference focuses on Safeguarding Older Adults from Abuse and Neglect. The conference will focus on good practice principles and will include case studies focusing on user involvement, safeguarding people with dementia, self neglect and hoarding, domestic abuse and sexual violence, substance misuse and financial abuse.  Expert sessions will also revisit safeguarding under the Care Act, Safeguarding leadership including compassion and empathy, user involvement in safeguarding and ensuring service improvement.

  • Apply best practice safeguarding principles to Self Neglect and Hoarding
  • Ensure an inclusive and accessible servic
  • Learn how you can improve safeguarding involving substance misuse in older people
  • Develop strategies for identifying and preventing financial abuse
  • Supports CPD professional development and acts as revalidation evidence. This course provides 5 Hrs training for CPD subject to peer group approval for revalidation purposes
